Evaluation process
PATIKRA is accredited and notified to perform conformity assessment of non - automatic weighing instruments according to module F. We carry out the necessary examinations and tests of non - automatic weighing instruments quickly and without intermediaries, and
we issue a certificate of conformity to the manufacturer or his authorized representative.
What does conformity assessment of scales mean
confirmation that the instrument complies with the essential requirements of Directive 2014/31 / EU and the Technical Regulation for Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments and can be used safely and reliably in all areas:
- mass in commercial transactions;
- for the calculation of amounts due in the calculation of amounts due, fees, charges, surcharges, fines, salaries, indemnities or similar payments;
- to determine the mass for the application of laws or regulations or to provide expert opinions in court proceedings;
- to determine mass in medical practice - to weigh patients for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosing and treating;
- for the determination of mass in the manufacture of medicinal products on prescription in a pharmacy and for the determination of mass in tests carried out in medical and pharmaceutical laboratories;
- to determine the price by weight in direct sales to the public and in prepackaging;
- other uses
How conformity is confirmed and what constitutes a conformity
the conformity assessment procedures selected and implemented by the manufacturer that are described in 2014/31 / EU directive II annex. PATIKRA provides
services for manufacturers and their representatives who have assessed the technical design of the instrument (module B) and who wish to complete the assessment procedure in respect of each instrument (module F)
When to assess the conformity of an instrument:
- when the instrument is placed on the market by the manufacturer and
- when instruments are used in the field of legal metrology
Who performs the conformity assessment:
- manufacturer or
- a notified compony on behalf of the manufacturer or his authorized representative
Who confirms that the conformity of the instrument has been assessed in full:
- marking of the instrument after completion of all assessment procedures
- the manufacturer's declaration of conformity drawn up on the basis of an assessment carried out by a notified body and a certificate of conformity issued

Requirements for the customer
When submitting an order application, the customer is requested to provide documents and information:
- a description of the measuring instrument whose conformity is to be assessed,
- a reference to the regulatory document for which conformity assessment is sought,
- a copy of the European Union type-examination certificate of the measuring instrument,
- the module compatibility table and the module certificates if the instrument has been type-approved with a modular approach,
- software documentation, if any,
- descriptions and explanations necessary for the understanding of the operation of the measuring instrument.
The Client must provide the scales and the necessary documentation for the conformity assessment, including the documentation required for the handling of complaints.
The instruments submitted for assessment shall bear all the markings and inscriptions specified in annex 9 to the Regulation.
The sponsor must allow observers to attend if necessary.
Scale evaluation process
Order form is filled.
The application is submitted to the CERT:
- email CERT{}patikra.lt or
- by mail or delivery to Panerių g. 45G-32, 03202 Vilnius or
- after completing the request
The Client submits the documents together with the order application:
- a description of the measuring instrument whose conformity is to be assessed,
- a reference to the regulatory document for which conformity assessment is sought,
- a copy of the European Union type-examination certificate of the measuring instrument,
- the module compatibility table and the module certificates if the instrument has been type-approved with a modular approach,
- software documentation, if any,
- descriptions and explanations necessary for the understanding of the operation of the measuring instrument.
The CERT shall register the application and examine the order within a maximum of 5 working days, deciding whether or not to carry out a conformity assessment of the instrument.
The Client shall be invited to sign a contract or shall be provided with a reasoned reply as to the inability to carry out the conformity assessment.
The Client shall provide the instrument for conformity assessment or indicate the location of the instrument.
ML checks the metrological characteristics of the instrument EN 45501 8.3. p. to the extent specified and shall provide a CERT report with the results of the inspection of the instrument.
The CERT shall assess the results of the inspection and the compliance of the instrument with the requirements of Regulation annex I.
A report on the assessment performed with the decision on the issuance or non-issuance of the certificate of conformity (indicating the reasons for non-issuance) and the issued invoice shall be sent to the Client.
The scales shall be marked with the notified compony number 2867 and, if the inspection was performed outside the Client's premises / territory, shall be returned to the Client.
A certificate of conformity shall be issued if the instrument complies with the requirements of the Technical Regulation for Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments and is issued upon payment for the assessment performed.
Valuation price
The price includes the costs related to the analysis of the order, evaluation of the validity of the documents, inspection of the scales, evaluation of the results.
